Indian Society suffers from the obsession of diversity. There is diversity in our society, but no to the extent it get projected. There is an unbroken continuum between Castes and tribes in this country. The book tries to highlight the same. The monographs on tribes and castes in this country as a confused entity and the same colonial approach of micro studies continued after independence also. There is a need to evolve the macro perception of Indian society.
