According to this study agriculture is the main sector of the Indian economy, providing livelihoods for around 70% of the population, but its growth rate has been low. Despite massive investment and subsidies, agricultural growth has not improved the economic conditions of farmers or those depending on agriculture. This study aims to investigate the infrastructural facilities related to rural development, the performance of agro-based industries, and the factors determining their growth and impact on the rural economy. The study also seeks to analyze the government's efforts to develop rural infrastructure and agro-based industries and to suggest measures for their further strengthening for sustainable and inclusive rural development. Overall, the study aims to provide insights into how to improve the economic conditions of rural populations and promote the growth of agro-based industries for the benefit of both farmers and the wider rural economy.
