At one side, they are finding it quite easy to have 24X 7 accesses to their friends and colleagues and on the other side, much use of SNS is taking them away from real world. Therefore, it seems justified to feel the pulse of Indian Youths who contribute to a very large part of overall SNS users not only in India but also the world. However, uestions remain concerning how Indian youths participate in online social networking sites, in what communities, and with whom. In this backdrop, present study attempts to have an overview of the trends, tendencies, purposes, intentions, and methods employed by Indian Youth while using social networking sites. In addition, the analyses offer insights into the social/moral/ psychological/emotional aspects which persist in the membership of youths in social networking sites.
