This book is a revised and updated version of the doctoral thesis of the lead author titled Heterogeneity, Common Property Resources and Collective Action: An Empirical Study of Linkages in Villages of Odisha' prepared with the active involvement of the second author for which the former was awarded a Ph.D. Degree by Utkal University in 2012. Although publication of the work was suggested in the viva-voce examination of the thesis, it could not be effected due to his over busy engagement with teaching and other assignments in the Indira Global Business School, Pune. The book successfully integrates the emerging issues of forest usage and management on the basis of the findings of an empirical survey conducted in three districts of Odisha state, India.
