This book is an attempt to compare it with race discrimination in the United States. The author concludes that the advances made by dalits in India have been much greater than those made by blacks in the United States. At the same time, much greater efforts have been made in that country to bring out the latent potential of black sportsmen, musicians, literateurs, etc. In India, similar efforts need to be made to promote budding talent among the dalits.
