Skill India is a scheme launched by the Government of India in 2015. Under this scheme many skilling schemes and programmes have been launched to give vocational and entrepreneurial training to youth of India. The objective of this scheme is to empower the youth with specialised job-oriented skills that will enhance their talent and create new employment opportunities for them. To move ahead in the mission the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was formed in 2014 which laid the foundation of various councils, bodies and institutions to cater to the need of changing demands and technologies of the marketplace. This report has been prepared by National Skill Development Corporation.
